Maple-Glazed Green Beans

Maple-Glazed Green Beans

Hey guys, I have a fresh new recipe for you! I first made these Maple-Glazed Green Beans for Thanksgiving at my in-laws’ home. Is there a rule about not experimenting with new recipes at parties and holiday gatherings? Well, I guess I don’t follow that rule! I wanted to bring fresh veggies to contribute to the Thanksgiving meal but, with all of the rich foods, I figured that they would probably be overlooked if I didn’t do something to kick up the flavor and make them a little more enticing. Maple syrup, that’ll do it!

I love the way these green beans cook up, coated in sweet and salty glaze. I’m going to go ahead and claim that this is a healthy dish, but you could add some bacon if you wanted to make this dish richer!

Mix together equal parts olive oil and maple syrup and drizzle over green beans. Sprinkle with salt. Bake for 15 minutes, then stir green beans to make sure that they’re well coated with the glaze. Let them cook for 15 minutes more, or until green beans are nice an tender.
