It’s that time of the year, pumpkin spice everywhere! I love french toast and I really wanted to try a pumpkin version for Fall. This was my first attempt and I love how it turned out. So simple and perfect for cool mornings!
This french toast is a perfect way to get your pumpkin spice fix without baking all afternoon or making a trip to Starbucks. If you’re a fan of french toast (and all things pumpkin) then this is the recipe for you!
Pumpkin Spice French Toast
- 4 slices of bread
- 1 egg
- 1/8 cup milk
- 1/8 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- syrup (or whatever toppings you like!)
In a bowl, whisk together egg, milk, pumpkin, and pumpkin pie spice. Coat a large skillet with cooking spray and place over medium/low heat. Dip each slice of bread into the pumpkin spice mixture to coat evenly.
Place coated bread slices into skillet. Let cook for several minutes, until the bottom is golden brown, then flip to let the other side cook.
Top with a light sprinkling of pumpkin spice! What pumpkin recipes do you crave in the Fall?

Pumpkin bread! I’ve made it 100% from scratch a few times. So much work, but worth it. Great french toast recipe and lovely pictures!
Thank you so much! Pumpkin bread is one of my favorites as well!
