I love sugar scrubs, and they’re really so easy to make at home (like my Cookie Dough Sugar Scrub)! This Mocha Scrub is one that I’ve been wanting to make for quite some time. I saved the coffee grounds from my morning coffee to use in this sweet smelling scrub!
Do a quick online search for the skin benefits of coffee grounds and you’ll find claims that it helps to minimize everything from cellulite to stretch marks. I can’t guarantee that this coffee scrub will change your life, but you really can’t go wrong with a skin care product that smells like coffee and chocolate. This is also a great scrub to keep in the kitchen. Scrubbing your hands with coffee grounds helps to get rid of the scent of garlic, onions, or fish!
Mocha Sugar Scrub
- 1/4 cup coffee grounds
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup coconut oil
Stir together dry ingredients. Add coconut oil until scrub has reached a consistency that you like. This recipe is easily adjustable, you can use whatever sugar and oil that you have on hand.
Store in an airtight container. Coffee can stain sink or shower surfaces, so rinse well after using.
