Lately I’ve really been attempting to make healthier, less processed, food for us. I’m not going to lie, my favorite meals are the unhealthy ones… dishes that are loaded with pasta and cheese… cheeseburgers have really been my thing recently… and, of course, pizza is always acceptable. I’m not completely cutting out these foods, but I’m trying to get as many vegetables into our diet as possible.
Garlic salt makes amazing garlic bread (another unhealthy favorite), so I decided to try it on baked asparagus. We loved it! This way of cooking vegetables is definitely a keeper (try this flavoring method with fresh green beans too)! You could use salt along with garlic powder instead, but garlic salt packs a great punch of flavor!
Garlic Asparagus
- asparagus
- olive oil
- garlic salt
- freshly ground black pepper
Preheat oven to 400F. Wash and dry asparagus, then place it onto a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil. Add a light sprinkle of garlic salt and pepper. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
So simple! What are your favorite oven roasted veggies?

Love roasted asparagus and pretty much the only way I eat it all spring. Try a drizzle of balsamic too, just for a bit of acid punch
Sounds good, I must try that!
