I’m so excited to be back with some new and festive tutorials for you, just in time for the holidays! Every year I try to come up with new ideas for wrapping presents for Christmas. Last year I went with a chalkboard wrapping paper theme, you can check that out HERE. I was having a little harder time deciding on gift wrap idea, but I went ahead and grabbed a couple of rolls of brown kraft wrapping paper several weeks ago when it was on sale at Target. As I was getting together my wrapping supplies at home, I spotted my wax seal kit and I couldn’t wait to try it out on my presents this year! It’s a simple idea really, but I love the way it turned out!
All you need is a Wax Stamp Seal and Sealing Wax (you can get both on Etsy or at craft supply stores). You can find stamps in all different kinds of designs, the one I used is a “P”, the initial our my last name. I used the kraft wrap along with some of last year’s black paper, I really love how the white seal pops against the black background!
I wrapped each package “backwards” so that the seam was on the top. Instead of tape, I used the wax stamp to seal the seam.
I used Rubber Letter Stamps and a black Ink Pad to add the first initial of the recipient’s name to each package.
I finished up with a little bit of kitchen twine. Brown paper packages, tied up with strings…
